Kochi: The Kerala High Court has taken a tough stance on the attacks on the Popular Front hartal. The High Court directed the state government to disclose the details of the seizure of properties of Poplar Front and state general secretary Abdul Sattar.

It has also been suggested to report the amount of loss incurred in all registered hartal attack cases. The court has informed the government to submit an affidavit in this regard on November 7.

A division bench of Justice AK Jayasankaran and Justice Mohammad Niaz had sued the hartal against the NIA raids on the institutions and mass arrests and jailing of the leaders.

The court stated that the hartal was illegal and ordered action for contempt of court against the callers. He also asked to file a separate case against those who caused damage to private property and public capital.
