One Dead, 18 Injured in Head-On Collision Between SUV and Bus in Howard County
Howard County, MD – A tragic accident occurred early Thursday morning on Route 32, resulting in one death and 18 individuals injured. According to local law enforcement, a head-on collision between an SUV and a Greyhound bus took place around 3:20 a.m. The incident has caused partial closure of Route 32 eastbound at Interstate 95, leading to expected delays.
The Greyhound bus, which was carrying 38 passengers, was traveling east on Route 32 near I-95 during the collision. The bus collided with a Buick Enclave, which was driving in the wrong direction in the eastbound lanes, according to Howard County police.
The driver of the Buick Enclave tragically lost their life at the scene, though their identity has yet to be released to the public. The driver of the Greyhound bus and the 17 passengers on board were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Fortunately, authorities have stated that their injuries are not considered life-threatening.
