King Charles on severing contact with his grandson, Prince Harry: “I’m not an ATM”

A new biographical book about the King of England reveals details about the rift between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle and the royal family, but this time from the other side. “Queen Elizabeth believed that her grandson was so blinded by his love for Meghan that it clouded his judgment – and she was disappointed by that,” said a family insider.

Three months have passed since the publication of Prince Harry’s autobiographical book, which intensified the rift between him and his family, and now a new book about the royal family reveals new details about the complexities between Harry and Meghan Markle and the rest of the family – even this time from a different point of view.

In the new book – Our King: Charles III – The Man And The Monarch, author Robert Jobson spoke with several senior sources in the palace who told him about Harry’s relationship with the rest of the family, and the despair he caused them. Over the years, Prince Harry was the favorite grandson of the late Queen Elizabeth, this despite the rumors that he is not the son of King Charles but the fruit of the forbidden love of his mother, Princess Diana, and of a senior officer in the British Army named James Hewitt.

“Harry and his wife began to publicly visit the royal family and also the family members, and at this point Elizabeth was very confused by their behavior. However, she believed that her grandson was so blinded by his love for Meghan that it clouded his judgment – and she was disappointed by this,” said an insider to the royal house.

The book returns to the surprising decision of the royal couple to retire from the monarchy in January 2020 and dwells on the great disappointment that awaited the queen following her grandson’s decision to retire from his royal duties and in addition on the feeling of being missed. “Despite the disappointment, Elizabeth sincerely hoped that her grandson would find happiness and peace and live the life he chose. Harry, for his part, called her regularly from the United States to voice his complaints to her, but this exhausted her – and at one point the Queen asked him to speak to his father directly,” he added.

An insider added: “At some point, Charles stopped taking his son’s calls after he cursed at him and repeatedly asked for money. When Elizabeth asked her eldest son why he did not ‘give in’ to his son, Charles replied that he was ‘not an ATM’.”

Remember, since Elizabeth’s funeral, six episodes of the series about the lives of the Dukes of Sussex, five interviews of Prince Harry alone – in which he blames the family for his difficult childhood and a memoir that includes 407 pages of accusations have been published. Well, it looks like reconciliation is nowhere in sight.
