A youth has died in Jaffna due to continuous use of heroin in Irupalai area of Jaffna.
Ganesan Nishan (29 years old) from Irupal South died yesterday. The person has gone to sleep after eating.
However, when the people of the house observed him at around 4 am yesterday, he was found motionless.

However, when he was taken to the Jaffna Teaching Hospital at around 5 am, the doctors said that he had already died.
Sudden Death Coroner Namasivayam Biremkumar conducted the postmortem on his body.
The reason
An autopsy revealed that he died of a heroin overdose.
Police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
