Kozhikode: A housewife was arrested on the complaint that she left her three minor children and her husband and went with her boyfriend. Thiruvampadi police arrested Jinu, a native of Anakamppoil, and her boyfriend, Tom B. Tomsi, a native of Kannoth. The complaint is that Jinu left the country leaving behind his ten, fourteen and sixteen year old children.
On January 16, the husband filed a complaint with the police saying that Jinu was missing. Later, during the investigation conducted by the police, it was found that Jinu had gone with Tom. Meanwhile, Tom’s father also lodged a complaint with the Kotanchery police saying that he was missing. With this, the police team investigated the phone calls and extended the investigation to other states. Both were taken into custody at Goodalur in Tamil Nadu.
A case was filed against both of them under Juvenile Justice Act 75 and Section 317 of the IPC. Both were then produced in the Tamarassery Judicial First Class Magistrate Court and remanded for fourteen days.
