Various benefits are going to be available unexpectedly for the employees who are getting monthly salary through the Employees Provident Fund System. Through this the employees get pension, attractive interest rates, tax benefits etc. and when an employee retires he is given a 12 digit number (PPO), using this number employees can know all the information related to their pension. EPS subscribers can use this PPO and check the pension status on the EPFO website.
Whereas this 12-digit PPO is not common to all, it is issued individually to each pensioner or family pensioner, which is very helpful for them. Pensioners or their families can file a complaint using these 12 digits, now let’s see how to check pension status. To do this first log into epfindia.gov.in and then click on ‘Pensioner Portal’. Now you will be redirected to ‘Welcome to’ option in that pensioner portal, next click on ‘Know your PPO number’.

Then enter your bank account number or PF number and now you will get PPO. After that you can easily check the status of your pension. To check pension status log into epfindia.gov.in, click on Pensioner Portal Online Service and go to ‘Pensioners Welcome Ughtaral’. Now on the new page that appears on the screen click on ‘Know Your Pension Status’ on the right side. After that select the Office, Office ID, PPO Number and click on ‘Status Received’ to get the status of the pension, you will be shown the complete information regarding the pension.
