“We must specify our territory so that no one has questions about the territorial integrity of Armenia.”

The Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, knows that the necessary legitimization process is necessary for the country’s conditional state borders to become real borders. Along with the demarcation and delimitation of the conventional state border with Azerbaijan, that process depends on the liberation of 8 villages currently under the occupation of Armenia, but on the territory of Azerbaijan, and their transfer to Baku.

And directly.

N. Pashinyan is also trying to explain this to the Armenians, emphasizing that he is trying to explain the borders of the country through the model of the brass map of Armenia he is holding.

“We are often criticized as to why we signed the Prague Declaration in October 2022 with Azerbaijan, which envisages mutual recognition of our territorial integrity. The reason is simple, because if we did not clearly indicate our territory, even our closest allies would not reckon with our territorial integrity,” said N. Pashinyan.

According to him, if the CIS countries expect the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) to specify the area of responsibility for Armenia, Yerevan must definitely declare its territorial integrity in a concrete way: “If we do not unilaterally show an honest map, honest contours, our allies may accuse us of wanting to involve them in war.” “.

The Prime Minister of Armenia then emphasized that “he does not scare the people, he tells the people the truth.”

According to him, in order to establish peace and stability in the region, first of all, it is necessary to determine where and how the territory of Armenia is and to determine the borders.

Thus, Nikol Pashinyan is trying to show that he takes into account the interests of Iran and Russia in addition to fulfilling his obligations to the West, that is, the European Union, France and the United States.

It should be noted that Nicole Pashinyan, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken and Pashinyan, Blinken and European Commission Chairman Ursula von der Leyen will discuss the development of Armenia in Brussels on April 5.

The hopes and expectations of official Yerevan are related to the West. According to the statement, which Armenian officials repeat continuously like a mantra, “since Russia does not ensure the security of Armenians, Armenia has to look for another guarantor.”

For this reason, the Yerevan State University emphasizes that it has signed military-technical cooperation agreements with France, Greece, Cyprus and India.

However, despite the agreements, understandings and promises made in Yerevan, the Western countries or India lack the intention, especially the capabilities, to create a normal military-political alliance with Armenia.

Despite the very serious problems and difficulties faced by Russia conducting military operations in Ukraine, the West is not able to fully replace the security guarantees provided by Moscow to Yerevan.

Nikol Pashinyan, who knows that the liberation of the Azerbaijani villages in the Tavush region of Armenia and their handover to Baku is inevitable, also emphasizes that he uses the situation to speed up the negotiation process aimed at signing the final peace agreement.

Pashinyan’s goal is to strengthen the support of the West.

The European Union, the United States, France and Britain see a sharp difference between the rhetoric of the Armenians and the real state of Russian-Armenian relations.

At the same time, the expansion of security guarantees of Armenia is not currently among the main problems of the European Union. It is enough to take a look at the crisis situation regarding EU aid to Ukraine.

The European Union is also trying to explain to the Armenians that Yerevan is committing a very serious mistake and haste by constantly tightening the rhetoric in relations with Russia.

Since there is no one who will fully replace Moscow, or a patron, the ultimatums addressed to Russia by Yerevan can have a boomerang effect, and if it goes like this, it will.

Armenia’s situation is dire, and Yerevan will worsen the situation with the sharp deterioration of relations with Russia.

If the situation in the South Caucasus gets tougher, if challenges with new risks are formed, Irevan will not be able to rely on the military aid of France, the United States or the European Union.

There are many reasons.

For some reason, Armenians still do not understand that Azerbaijan is a perennial, reliable and stable energy partner of the West, specifically of the European Union and NATO.

The main goal of the United States and the European Union is to solve the problems between Azerbaijan and Armenia at the negotiating table.

As long as the bilateral negotiations between Baku and Yerevan continue, neither Brussels nor Washington will openly support or take sides.

Armenians should not forget Iran: Tehran has repeatedly declared that it will not allow radical geopolitical changes in the South Caucasus region, “the strengthening of non-regional countries”.

Realizing that the liberation of our 8 villages under Armenian occupation since 30 years as a precondition for the demarcation and delimitation of the conditional state border, official Iravan searched for a way out of the current situation, but could not find it.

There is only one way: the villages must be freed, the necessary procedures related to the conditional state border must be carried out, the Zangezur transport corridor must be put into use, and normal interstate relations must be established.

The opposite of this process is military-political escalation.

In other words, Armenia is facing the threat of destruction as a state…
