In a move that underscores the club’s commitment to social duty, main sponsor HanseMerkur will temporarily relinquish its branding space on the team’s jerseys for the Bundesliga clash against Borussia Dortmund. the prominent chest space will instead display the vital message: “Vorsorge kann Leben retten” – “Prevention can save lives.”

Following the final whistle, the specially branded jerseys worn by the HSV players – dubbed “match-worn-trikots” – will be auctioned off on hsv.de. All proceeds from the auction will directly benefit a yeswecan!cancer campaign focused on encouraging young people to get the HPV vaccine.
