Bollywood veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah. He has given numerous acclaimed movies in his acting career. In recognition of his work, he received the National Film Award three times for the movies ‘Paar’, ‘Sparsh’ and ‘Iqbal’. Apart from that, he has three Filmfare Awards to his credit. But due to his tight-lipped nature, this actor often comes up in discussions.
Naseeruddin Shah attended an event in New Delhi last Saturday. Speaking on the occasion, he expressed his disappointment with Hindi cinema. Not only that, this talented actor also said that he has stopped watching Hindi movies.
Naseeruddin Shah said in his speech, ‘We proudly say that Hindi cinema is 100 years old, it really disappoints me. But we are still making the same movie. I have stopped watching Hindi movies. I don’t like them at all.’
Naseeruddin Shah said not to worry about money from movies, “Hindi cinema will give hope if we can stop thinking about money from movies. But I think it is too late. There is no solution now. Because films will continue to be made and thousands of people will continue to see them.’
He said to the makers, ‘Those who want to make serious films, their responsibility is to show the present reality. And it should be shown in such a way that they can’t go and knock on their doors with a fatwa (ruling issued by a religious jurisprudence expert) or an ED.’
Earlier in an interview given to Lalontop.com, Naseeruddin Shah said that the trophy is worthless to him. He made the bathroom handle with Filmfare award.
The latest released movie ‘Kutte’ starring Naseeruddin Shah. Directed by Asman Bharadwaj, this movie was released on January 24 last year. Apart from Naseeruddin Shah, the movie also stars Arjun Kapoor, Konkana Sen Sharma, Radhika Madan, Tabu and others. The movie with a budget of Rs 30 crore failed at the box office. The movie failed to earn even Rs 5 crore at the box office.
