Our main priority is for Bulgaria to become a normal European country, said the leader of the PP-DB leaves in the seaside city
“Thank you for being together today because we have difficult tasks and we can solve them only together. In recent days I have met with hundreds of people in different parts of the country. What I have seen is that after these 9-10 months really It was worth it. Many times people asked us – why did you do it, was it worth it? The answer is – Yes!”.
With these words academician Nikolay Denkov addressed PP-DB sympathizers in Burgas, at the opening of the pre-election campaign this evening in the “Flora” exhibition center – just a hundred meters from the sea.
Denkov, who is the leader of the list of the PP-DB in Burgas, emphasized that, although slowly, people understand that everything that has been done – the increase in income, care for health care, education, infrastructure projects – this changes the life of every single person.
“And that’s why it was worth it. At all meetings, by re-outlining our main achievements, by explaining the political logic, we meet understanding and expectation to move forward with the changes that Bulgaria needs. We are starting from a good foundation,” said the former prime minister. And he outlined the most important topics for the region, one of which is tourism.
“The very good news is that we have already surpassed the pre-covid levels, in the government we have ensured that Bulgaria is represented on the largest stock exchanges in the world, tourism is being advertised in a new way with the joint participation of the municipalities and with co-financing, which turned out to be much more effectively,” stressed Academician Denkov. He also recalled the creation of the first national program for regional development, according to which more than BGN 150 million has been provided for ready and approved projects in the Burgas region alone.
Denkov emphasized that the goal of PP-DB is to continue to develop Bulgaria forward as they have been doing in recent months.
When asked by “24 Chasa” what kind of campaign he expects, Denkov answered: “We saw how it started 2-3 months ago, I hope that in the fog of compromising documents, photos and all kinds of other miracles, we will still be able to hear what is important for people – increasing incomes, attracting investors Our main priority is for Bulgaria to become a normal European country.
As for a possible coalition with GERB – it depends exclusively on the results of the elections. So I want to say again to people who don’t vote – your votes are redistributed to the leading parties, so if you want your vote to count, get out and vote.”
The second on the list – the Burgas entrepreneur and deputy from Democratic Bulgaria in several consecutive parliaments – Dimitar Naydenov said that he hopes that the PP-DB will repeat the success of the last elections in order to continue the change.
“Every day I am in the square and talk to people all the time. The most common question is whether it was worth this effort and this so-called assembly that we were forced to go through. The answer is positive.
We have done something in the field of justice that was unachieved until 30 years ago – changes in the constitution that would open the possibility for the judicial reform to happen. I appeal to you – give us this strength to have a leading role in continuing this reform, because if we want to live in a just country, it is possible with the judicial reform, which began with constitutional changes and at the cost of a lot of reputational damage.
What is ahead, and we need support, is the completion of not only the judicial reform, but also the reform of the security services,” urged Naydenov.
