“I stop when I want” on TV: the tribute to “Indiana Jones and the last crusade” and the other 8 secrets of the saga

by time news

After being fired following the cut in funds at the university, the Sapienza researcher Pietro Zinni (played by Edoardo Leo) decides to make ends meet to set up a gang dedicated to the creation and marketing of a new powerful drug substance (not yet recognized as illegal by the Ministry of Health) with some former colleagues, precarious and penniless like him: Mattia and Giorgio, two Latinists who work as gas stations (Valerio Aprea and Lorenzo Lavia); Alberto, a chemist who works as a dishwasher in a Chinese restaurant (Stefano Fresi); Bartolomeo, an economist who tries to apply his mathematical skills to poker (Libero De Rienzo); Arturo, an exploited and poorly paid archaeologist (Paolo Calabresi) and Andrea, an anthropologist who tries to get hired by a junkyard by pretending to be a former convict (Pietro Sermonti). It is the plot of “I can quit when I want” (2014), the first chapter of the successful saga of the same name directed by Sydney Sibilia. In the cast of the film, which inspired the two sequels “I quit when I want – Masterclass” and “I quit when I want – Ad honorem” (both in theaters in 2017), we also find Valeria Solarino in the role of Giulia, Pietro’s partner, and Neri Marcorè in those of the criminal boss Claudio Felici called Murena. Looking forward to reviewing “I can stop when I want” (Wednesday 10 November its Sky Cinema 1 at 19.25, to follow «I stop when I want – Masterclass») here is a collection of little-known curiosities about the saga to be discovered.
