The New Zealand captain talks about his expulsion during the World Cup final, won this Saturday by the South African Springboks by the narrowest of margins.
Sam Cane (New Zealand captain, red carded during defeat against South Africa 12-11 on Saturday in the final of the Rugby World Cup): «It’s so painful that it’s hard to find the words to express it. I feel a lot of pain, but at the same time I am so proud of my teammates, of the way they fought to get back into the match and come so close to victory. That says a lot about the quality of this group. A great group of men who are so proud to play for the All Blacks.
It’s been two months since the tournament started now and we know that any contact around the head has repercussions. I am not able to say what is good or not. We can’t go back and unfortunately I will have to live with it for the rest of my life».
