IDSFFK: Documentary-Short Film Festival flags off; ‘My Mother’s Girlfriend’ is the best film

Kerala’s 13th International Documentary-Short Film Festival (IDSFFK) concludes in Thiruvananthapuram. ‘My Mother’s Girlfriend’ directed by Arun Fulara was selected as the best story. ‘Testimony of Ana’ is the best short documentary directed by Sachin Dheeraj Mudigonda. The cast of the film will get Rs 1 lakh. Manoj Murali’s A Share Capt Aside, Amin Barif, Mohammad Fahmeed, Zeeshan Khan, Akhdas Sami, Mohammad Altaf and Faraz Fakhri’s Rapper were selected as the second best short documentaries.

At Home Walking is the best long documentary directed by Rajula Shah. The Last Man is the second best long documentary, directed by Daxing Kumar Bajrang. Rituparna Saha won the Kumar Talkies Award for Best Editing in a Long Documentary for A Bid for Bengal. Nikhil S Praveen won the Navroos Contractor Award for Best Documentary Cinematographer. The closing ceremony was inaugurated by Finance Minister KN Balagopal at Aries Plex SL Cinemas, the venue of the fair. Culture Minister Saji Cherian presided over the function.
