Thiruvananthapuram – Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that he hopes that the accused in the case of attack on AKG center will be arrested soon. Chief Minister’s response at a press conference in Thiruvananthapuram. The Chief Minister also said that if KT Jalil sent a letter against Madhyam newspaper, it is not correct. The Chief Minister added that the government will not compromise on the case against Sriram Venkataraman and will legally meet the ED’s demand to transfer the gold smuggling case to Karnataka. ∙ ‘Hope to find the accused’
The investigation was handed over to the crime branch as the accused could not be found in the AKG center attack case. They are seriously investigating. The Chief Minister explained that it is hoped that the accused will be found soon.
∙ ‘No compromise on Sriram Venkataraman’s case’
Responding to a question regarding the appointment of Sriram Venkataraman as Alappuzha Collector, the Chief Minister said that as part of the government service, a person has to shoulder certain duties at every stage. K.M. There has been no compromise on the part of the government regarding Basheer’s accidental death case. May it be so.
∙ ‘Jalil should not have sent the letter’
Former Minister K.T. To a question related to Swapna Suresh’s disclosure that Jalil had sent a letter to the UAE Consul General, the Chief Minister replied that ‘if the letter was sent, it should not have been sent’. The matter has not been discussed with Jaleel yet. Haven’t seen it in person. The Chief Minister said that he is going to talk when he sees him face to face.
∙ ‘The LDF does not have the right crutches for the Congress’
The Chief Minister ridiculed Congress’ Kozhikode Chintan camp. The Chief Minister said that many camps have been held in the past and they are trying to ensnare other parties in a situation where they cannot stand on their own. LDF has no crutches for UDF. There is no mention of the problems Kerala is facing in Chintan Shibiram.
∙ ‘Silverline Important Project’
Silver Line is an important project for Kerala. The government is planning to complete the project quickly. The state was hopeful that there would be no delay in the completion of the project. Some are asking why there is such a rush for the project. There will be no hurdle in getting approval for the project. It was thought to do what the state could do before getting permission.
But now the unfortunate side is happening. Many who speak from the center say that the project should not come. Center’s permission is required to start the project. The project cannot be implemented by the state alone. It is now seen that the Center is taking the stand that the Silver Line project cannot be implemented. That position should be changed and permission should be given considering that the project is necessary for the country.
A social impact study for the project has not been completed. Although the survey is going on, there has been a stumbling block due to the central stand. All those who want the development of Kerala should try to correct the position of the central government. This is not LDF’s plan but the country’s plan. It should be seen whether the plan is what the country needs, not who takes the initiative. It is better to realize that it is cruel to try to destroy the project that the country needs – said the Chief Minister.
