The British embassy in Ukraine has been “temporarily” relocated due to growing international concern over the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
The United States has warned of an imminent invasion of Ukraine in the coming days, with reports that 150,000 Russian troops are stationed on the border.
There is growing international concern that Russia could easily invade Ukraine if the attack is confirmed. Meanwhile, several foreign embassies in Ukraine have been closed.
Western spies have reported that Thayer’s troops are being sent back to military bases from Ukraine’s for diplomatic talks, but there is no credible evidence to the contrary and that Russia is increasing its forces to 200,000.
In this case, the British embassy has also announced a temporary relocation. The British Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCDO) says it has moved from the Ukrainian capital Kyiv to the western city of Lviv.
In addition, the British Foreign Office has advised the British to make only essential trips to Ukraine, Belarus and the unrecognized secessionist state of Transnistria (Russia’s close allies) within Ukraine’s neighbor Moldova.
Similarly, British citizens in Ukraine continue to be urged to leave while trade routes are still operational.
