In 10 days, partnership intermediated payment of BRL 11 million in precatories in MS – Cidades

Action aims to increase the notification of holders and increase the volume of closed agreements

The PGE (State Attorney General’s Office) and the TRT-MS (Regional Labor Court of Mato Grosso do Sul) are joining forces to intensify the notification of precatories holders to expand the disclosure and volume of closed agreements. The partnership may allow all holders of precatories under the State’s responsibility to receive the amounts owed immediately, within the negotiation process.

“Our objective is to consolidate this partnership, so that TRT can help us in publicizing, which can increase the number of agreements closed. In this case, in addition to making the calculation, updating the debt amount, fitting it into the table and applying the discount with tax withholdings, the Court will notify creditors of the net amount they may receive, which facilitates the entire process”, explained the head of the prosecutor’s office for compliance with sentence and precatories, Eimar Souza Schröder Rosa.

The public notice for direct agreements was opened on the 3rd of this month and will continue until the 3rd of May. Only direct agreement on the total amount of the precatório applicable to each creditor will be admitted, except in cases of active joinder or class actions.

In just 10 days of public notice, 134 direct agreement requests were registered, totaling R$ 11 million in payments. In this round of negotiations, there are around R$40 million available to settle debts with creditors interested in granting discounts.

In the last notice, agreements were closed with 2,855 creditors, which injected at least R$ 141 million into the economy of Mato Grosso do Sul.

“For the citizen, it represents the availability of the resource resulting from the judicial conviction in advance. For the State, it settles the debt of precatorios with a discount, and releases this expense, which portrays an instrument of financial health, opening space for investment in other areas, growth, stability and justice”, stressed the State Attorney General , Ana Carolina Ali Garcia.
