“Until 2020, all former PMC members were worked out by special services. After 2020, due to dependence on Russia, they stopped developing them. Today, Sunday, the order came to resume development,” a source in law enforcement agencies told Nasha Niva.
Recall that on June 23, fighters of the private military company Wagner demanded the resignation of Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu and Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov. They occupied Rostov-on-Don and moved to Moscow. During the day they shot down six helicopters and a plane that tried to attack them.
The Wagnerite rebellion caused the greatest political crisis in Russia in the 21st century. A compromise with them, the essence of which is still unclear, was reached only on June 24 in the evening through the mediation of Alexander Lukashenko.
