In Bologna a multimedia reading dedicated to Lucio Dalla – Music

by time news

Among the many initiatives taking place in Bologna these days in memory of Lucio Dalla, on the occasion of the anniversary of his death on 1 March 2012 in Montreux, Switzerland, we highlight the multimedia reading “Dear Lucio, I am inspired”, proposed on March 2nd at 9pm from the Teatro Ridotto. Inspired by the singer-songwriter’s songs, the show features the participation of actor Saverio Mazzoni with lyrics and videos by Marco Ferlini and voice-over by Evelina Volta.

“Lucio Dalla’s songs have always inspired sensations, reflections, suggestions, “especially when completely immersed in their notes – explains Mazzoni – and one abandons oneself, dreaming, in the embraces of the melody. These dreams are not strictly connected to the text, but are mostly the result of it. Sometimes yes, they are also inspired by words, but more frequently they arise from the melancholy of music. Because, sometimes, Lucio Dalla’s songs are melancholic and profound, sensitive and graceful”. So these dreams were written on paper, six short stories, entrusted to the deep voice of the Bolognese actor, who, interacting with the spectators, will accompany them inside these stories inhabited by people who face small or large human difficulties and go through them with strong feelings.

The songs, which are part of Dalla’s less inflated repertoire, are in the original version and will serve as the final soundtrack to every single story. Specially created videos will be linked to them.
