Renault Lardy continues its migration towards electric motors. This Monday, Ampere, the electrical subsidiary of the diamond brand, unveiled the outline of its future research laboratory entirely dedicated to batteries. By the summer of 2025, around twenty people will join this building currently under construction on the Lardy site, in Essonne, where nearly 800 employees work every day, 80% of whom now work under the Ampere banner.

These highly qualified engineers will be tasked with finding the best compromise between performance, cost, durability and safety for the batteries that will equip future models. While Lardy’s activities were threatened with being relocated to Spain and Romania, this project is good news.
