The parties are free to decide the order in which the candidates appear on their lists, however, a voter can only appear as a candidate on one list.
The list can be announced no later than May 3 at 4 p.m.

The candidate on the list must declare that he accepts the nomination and that he does not hold any office that is incompatible with the mandate of the representative, or that he will resign from it if he is elected. However, not only Hungarian citizens can appear on the list, but also citizens of other EU member states residing in Hungary. In this case, the National Electoral Office notifies the competent authority of the candidate’s country of citizenship that the candidate wishes to run on the Hungarian list, and requests proof that the candidate is not subject to any provision in the country of citizenship of the candidate, according to which he cannot be elected.
