This is an additional budget, which vacationers would have done well without. This year in Lacanau (Gironde), 1,500 parking spaces became chargeable for the season and the price has increased by 15%. Close to the beaches and the city center, the bill is even higher. This entrepreneur paid 2.40 euros for one hour: “We are constantly paying and looking for places. It becomes very complicated”.
Unclog the city center
So some choose another form of mobility. Park the car outside the city and rent bicycles.
