The group of experts of the European regional office of the WHO, in cooperation with the Ministry of Health, carried out a comprehensive assessment of the main components of the health information system, prepared a report, the purpose of which is to support the development of e-health and health information systems in Armenia.

“It includes the current situation, strengths, weaknesses, risks and expert recommendations on what to do next.

During the preparation of the report, WHO experts worked with the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia, the Ministry of Health of the Ministry of Health, the HCMC, and the national operator of “Armed” Electronic Health Care.

“The implementation of electronic health care is one of the key directions of the Ministry of Health. It is aimed first at making the life of the medical worker and patient easier, and also at using the data with scientific significance, so this summary report will help in the reforms implemented in the field,” Deputy Health Minister Artak Jumayan said at the meeting with experts and stakeholders.

WHO experts noted that Armenia has generally good indicators in terms of health information system development, infrastructure development, data sources and management of medical electronic cards are among its strengths.

At the same time, the experts presented a number of recommendations.

As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached to continue the cooperation and to work together in the direction of reforms in the sector,” said the Ministry of Health message.
