The Municipality of Ioannito was once again present at the 38th International Tourism Exhibition “Philoxenia” in Thessaloniki.
The officials of the Municipality presented the comparative advantages of the tourism product of the city of Ioannina, with an emphasis on highlighting the area as an attractive 365-day destination, for every preference and age. As a metropolitan recreation hub, with a variety of possibilities for alternative activities and experiences (cultural, sports, entertainment and contact with nature).
Factors active in the domestic and international tourism market, had the opportunity to obtain a comprehensive picture of the city, its attractions, multicultural identity, gastronomy, current physiognomy and modern infrastructure.
The Municipality’s stand was visited by, among others, the Deputy Minister of Tourism Elena Rapti, the President of the Hellenic Tourism Organization Angela Gerekou and the Deputy Regional Governor of Thessaloniki Voula Patoulidou.
The Municipality, which was hosted at the Epirus Region stand, was represented at the exhibition by the head of the Tourism Department Eleni Basogiannis and Emilios Neos.
