Independiente del Valle defeated Macará 1-0 in a friendly match prior to the start of the 2024 Pro League that took place at the IDV Complex, located in Sangolquí. Michael Hoyos was the author of the only goal of the game.
The only goal of the match was in the 6th minute, when Michael Hoyos anticipated behind the Ambateño team and with a header he beat goalkeeper Gabriel Cevallos.
For the second half, both teams changed their lineups, in order to try new tactics and strategies, however, the scoreboard did not move. Independiente del Valle, in the coming days, will travel to Chile to play some friendly matches.
Independiente del Valle will face Everton this January 31 to compete in the Viña del Mar Cup. Then, the black and blue will face Colo-Colo on February 3.
