According to reports from local authorities, the Crime Control Department (CCD) acted on intelligence regarding the location of suspects in the Lahore gang rape case. On Thursday, Inspector Shabbir adn his team initiated a raid in Manga Mandi to apprehend the individuals.
“Upon seeing the police, the suspects opened fire,” a senior official stated. The ensuing gunfight resulted in the deaths of two suspects, later identified as shoaib and Zubair. Police sources allege the suspects were killed by gunfire from their accomplices.The bodies have been transferred to a morgue for a post-mortem examination.
The incident was not without casualties on the law enforcement side. Head Constable Inamdaar sustained a gunshot wound to the chest during the exchange, but was protected from serious injury by his bulletproof vest.The 13-year-old victim of the gang rape remains hospitalized and is receiving medical care.
A First Information Report (FIR) pertaining to the assault was filed at the Manga Mandi police station.

Details emerging from the investigation reveal that the suspects, who are reportedly relatives of the victim, allegedly exploited the family’s absence to commit repeated acts of molestation. They are also accused of threatening the victim with death should she disclose the assaults.
Civil Lines Superintendent of Police Chaudhry Asar Ali confirmed that the arrested suspects have been handed over to the anti-gender-based crime cell for further investigation.
