Chennai: India A team captain Sanju Samson scored a half-century in the third ODI against New Zealand A team. Sanju faced 68 balls and got out after scoring 54 runs. The player’s innings consisted of two sixes and one four. Sanju was dismissed lbw by Jacob Duffy.
Middle-order player Tilak Verma and Shardul Thakur completed half-centuries for India A team. Tilak Verma faced 62 balls and got out after scoring 50 runs. Shardul scored 51 runs from 33 balls. India won the toss and chose to bat. Opener Abhimanyu Iswar also shone for the India A team. The player scored 39 runs from 35 balls.
India scored 284 runs in 49.3 overs. India won the series by winning the first two matches. India won the first match by seven wickets and the second match by four wickets. The New Zealand A team will be looking for a consolation win in the third match.
