Talks between India and ASEAN countries begin in Delhi today. Expansion of trade relations and cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region will be discussed at the meeting.
The 10 ASEAN bloc members are Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, Myanmar, Malaysia, Laos, Indonesia, Cambodia and Brunei. In this context, a meeting of India-ASEAN Foreign Ministers will be held in Delhi today and tomorrow.
The meeting will focus on the overall development of the Indo-Pacific region and the expansion of relations between the countries during the Ukraine-Russia war.
This is expected to be discussed in the context of China’s increasing dominance in the South China Sea, which is rich in natural resources.
Foreign ministers from Singapore, Vietnam and Indonesia have already arrived in Delhi to attend. At the India-ASEAN official level meeting held yesterday, plans for 2025 were discussed.
