India Breaks Record with 136th T20I Win
Raipur: The 4th T20 cricket match between India and Australia took place in Raipur yesterday, with India emerging victorious and breaking a record in the process.
Australia won the toss and elected to bowl, but India’s aggressive batting led them to score 174 runs in 20 overs. Australia, in response, could only manage to score 154 runs in their 20 overs.
As a result, India won the match by 20 runs, securing a 3-1 series win over Australia.
This win also marked a significant milestone for India, as it was their 136th T20 International victory. With this win, India surpassed Pakistan to hold the record for the most wins in international T20 matches.
The Indian team has now won 136 out of 213 T20 Internationals played, while Pakistan had previously held the record with 135 wins in 226 T20 matches.
In addition to this record, India has also set a new record by winning 14 T20 series in India since February 2019.
The win in Raipur not only secured a series victory for India but also cemented their status as a dominant force in international T20 cricket.
