London: Indian student Satyam Surana, studying in Britain, has accused a hate campaign against him. Satyam, who came into limelight last year by lifting the tricolor flag from the road while challenging the crowd gathered at the Indian High Commission, is pursuing LLM from the London School of Economics. Satyam has alleged that a ‘well-planned’ campaign was launched against him ahead of the student union elections being held at the London School of Economics. In this campaign he was described as a fascist. The LLM course of Satyam, Pune is being completed this year.
According to NDTV report, Satyam has informed that LSE elections were announced in February and early March and he had filed nomination for the post of General Secretary. On 14-15 March I saw that my posters were being torn. After this, fascist was written on the posters with cross marks on my face. It was written on the posters that Satyam Surana is a BJP supporter, fascist, Islamophobe and transphobe.

my old videos were removed

Satyam alleged that some people took out old videos and pictures from his social media handle X, in which he had praised the BJP government. For this, a malicious agenda was carried out by calling him a fascist. He also said that there were no political issues in his manifesto, but only the real issues of the campus. Initially he got huge support but this hate campaign destroyed all possibilities.

Recalling last year’s Indian High Commission episode, Satyam said, “In early October, I was in the news because I raised the national flag outside the Indian High Commission amid Khalistani protesters. After this I was also interviewed by national media channels. “In fact, I was targeted for calling Khalistanis terrorists in one of my posts.” Satyam said that look, this is my country and I will always be the lawyer of my country.
