Indian wrestlers who won medals at the Commonwealth Games received a warm welcome in Delhi

With the completion of the 22nd Commonwealth Games held in Birmingham, England, India has won a total of 61 medals including 22 gold, 16 silver and 23 bronze and has taken the 4th place in the medal list.

Indian wrestlers who won medals returned home happily. They were given a rousing welcome at the Delhi airport. A large crowd gathered at the airport to congratulate the Indian players.

Indian wrestler Sakshi Malik said, “I am proud to win the gold medal for India, who have given me all the support and love.” Speaking to reporters after the reception, she said, “It’s a great feeling and I’m very happy as it’s my first major medal since the Olympics.”

Pooja Gehlot, bronze medalist in wrestling, said that winning a medal for the country is a matter of pride for every Indian.
