Bali: PV Sindhu, India’s crown hopeful, advanced to the semi-finals of the Indonesian Masters Badminton Tournament. In the women’s singles quarterfinals, Sindhu defeated Turkey’s Neslihan Yijit.
Sindhu’s victory is for direct games. The match lasted just 35 minutes. Score: 21-13, 21-10.
Two-time Olympic medalist Sindhu will face either Akane Yamaguchi of Japan or Ponpawei Chochuwong of Thailand in the semi-finals. Sindhu also reached the semifinals of the recently concluded French Open.
