Infectionist named diseases that remain forever after COVID-19

Infectionist Elena Meskina called “Evening Moscow” diseases that can manifest themselves after suffering COVID-19 and stay forever. She called diabetes mellitus the most common such pathology.

The doctor claims that diabetes develops in those who have had coronavirus in 15% of cases. Pulmonary fibrosis is also a common consequence.

Meskina calls thyroiditis another pathology that is provoked by the coronavirus and cannot be treated. This is an inflammatory disease of the thyroid gland.
