Inflation in Tijuana is 7.41%: Inegi | Tijuana News

Tijuana BC.- The percentage of average inflation that occurred in different products and services offered in establishments of Tijuana is from 7.41%with data from National Institute of Statistic and Geography (Inegi).

This figure corresponds to the second half of February according to the National consumer price index (INPC), that a decrease in 0.49% in relation to the first fortnight of February.

Compared to the others 55 cities that contemplates said publication of the Inegi, the city of Tijuana is in the position 39 from municipalities with higher inflation nationwide.

They continue to rise

The products that presented a decrease in their price were serrano peppers with -20.18%the tomato with -18.54%the pumpkin with -11.84%the green beans with -11.30%the poblano pepper with -9.90%among others.

On the other hand, those that continued with a rising price were bananas with a 11.26%the egg with a 9.04%domestic LP gas with a 4.06%the chicken with a 3.77%pasteurized and fresh milk with a 1.04%, among others.

“Basic” products are becoming more expensive every day

Compared to last year, the products that have shot up the most are eggs, a 29.65% and the bread with a 21.15%, while in services they were the right to supply water with 28.04% and health services with a 7.36%.

In this sense, the price of the egg portfolio of 30 pieces is among the 116 and 118 pesos average, while the loaf of bread is among the 63 and 69 pesos in establishments, according to the Inegi.
