8.7 percent inflation in February sounds like a lot, but not as dramatic as in November with more than ten percent. But the 8.7 percent is only half the truth. True food inflation is many times higher.

At the BILD readers’ get-together, pensioner Theodor Straberg (84) vented his anger: “My favorite roast crust became almost four times as expensive with the Ukraine war. The 8.7 percent inflation cannot be correct.”
