What has changed in the life test in 2023?

In 2023, the change was that the INSS took on the responsibility of check living condition of policyholders who receive some long-term social security benefit.

Previously, beneficiaries had to go to the bank branch where they received their benefits, present a photo ID, debit card and, in some cases, undergo biometrics to provide proof of life.

Insured Ademar retired with 35 years of contribution time in November 2016, three years before the Pension Reform of 11/13/2019 came into force.
