Instituto de Desarrollo Asegurador undertakes its first divestment with the sale to Idealista of its real estate insurance business, specifically its three digital platforms protegetualquiler.com, protegetuinmobiliaria.com and lawebdelarrendador.com.
In this way, Idealista and the Instituto de Desarrollo Asegurador close a “successful” alliance that will provide the former with an improvement in its business and the service provided to its clients, while consolidating the latter as an innovation Lab in the insurance sector.
The total amount of the acquisition has not been made public by decision of the management bodies of both companies, as reported by the parties involved.
Specifically, the operation includes the transfer of the development team and the three platforms specialized in real estate insurance.
With this acquisition, Idealista incorporates the technology, the business and the human team into its environment, including Javier Vázquez, until now General Director of the Insurance Development Institute, who joins the firm’s team to lead the development of this area insurance carrier.
This acquisition becomes the tenth made by Idealista in the last two years, continuing with its organic growth strategy.
