Neetu and Anamika of India qualified for the quarterfinals of the women’s boxing tournament at the International Boxing Championships in Bulgaria.
In the 48 kg category, Neetu defeated Russia’s Sumkalakova 5-0 and in the 50 kg category, Anamika defeated Bulgarian Sukanova Jalatislava 4-1. In the quarterfinals, Neetu will face Italy’s Rabta Bonatti and Anamika will face Algeria’s Roumesa Poulema.
Meanwhile, Shiksha, who took the field in the 54kg category, lost 0-5 to Kazakhstan’s Tina Jolaman. In the men’s 67kg category, India’s Akash lost 0-5 to Daniel Kotler of Joman.
