International Court of Justice Orders Israel to Refrain from Causing Casualties in Gaza Strip

The International Court of Justice (ICJ) has asked Israel to refrain from causing casualties and damage in the attack on the Gaza Strip. The International Court of Justice order states that Israel must ensure that its armed forces do not commit genocide in Gaza and take steps to improve the humanitarian situation in the area. The UN court asked Israel to report within a month on the implementation of the said order.

“The Court is well aware of the scale of the humanitarian catastrophe unfolding in the Gaza Strip and is deeply concerned about the continuing loss of life and human suffering,” said Joan Donoghue, President of the International Court of Justice.

Hamas operatives also attacked a music festival near the Gaza border. 250 people were killed in that attack. About 200 Israelis, including women, children and the elderly, were taken hostage.

After this, Israel attacked many areas of Gaza through airstrikes and ground attacks. According to the Gaza Ministry of Health, 26,000 Palestinians have been killed in these Israeli attacks so far.
