A large crowd flocked to the M’diq corniche to enjoy refined performances by 7 national bands representing different components of the Royal Armed Forces, the Royal Guard, the Royal Gendarmerie, the General Directorate of National Security and the Forces. Auxiliaries, as well as foreign military bands from 6 countries, namely Spain, United Arab Emirates, Senegal, Ivory Coast, Arabia Arabia and the United States of America.
After its first show given Friday evening in Rabat, the second day of the festival began with a performance by the Royal Guard which amazed the audience.
The Infantry Regiment, accompanied by the Regiment of musicians, horsemen and torch bearers, offered a refined choreographic performance to the rhythm of military compositions, as well as pieces taken from the repertoire of national anthems and songs.
To Spanish military tunes, the musical unit of the Spanish Infantry Regiment “Immémorial del Rey n°1” impressed with its precise and synchronized performance, while the Royal Air Forces Fanfare shone with its musical performance, which delighted the audience with enthusiastic pieces and Moroccan classics.
As for the musical groups from Saudi Arabia, Ivory Coast and the Auxiliary Forces Northern Zone, they gave captivating performances marked by rigorous discipline and precise rhythm, with military and enthusiastic rhythms.
The musical formation of the FAR General Staff, founded in 1956, has won over the public with its harmony and the beauty of its musical performance. The musical groups from the United Arab Emirates, the Royal Gendarmerie and the Senegalese Armed Forces also delighted the audience with their captivating performances. The musical training of the General Directorate of National Security, founded on September 19, 2000, presented a colorful show, highlighting the musical talents of its members.
The 23rd Marching Band of the National Guard of the State of Utah (United States), as usual, amazed the public with a refined musical performance, thanks to an elite of assertive musicians.
Finally, the Royal Marine Musical Company, one of the most emblematic groups in Morocco, closed the evening with a captivating performance.
The Festival will culminate this Tuesday with a closing concert at Place El Mechouar in Tetouan. The International Military Music Festival is a first to highlight the richness and diversity of the military musical traditions of the participating countries.
