IPS officer accused of disrespecting Puducherry CM transferred to Jammu and Kashmir

Puducherry: IPS officer Deepika, who was accused of not giving due respect to the Puducherry Chief Minister, has been transferred to Jammu and Kashmir. Another IPS officer, Lokeswaran, has also been transferred to Mizoram. In lieu of those being transferred, two new IAS and IPS officers have been transferred from Mizoram and Delhi to Puducherry.

8 IAS and IPS officers have been transferred across the country in an order issued today by Union Secretary Rakesh Kumar Singh, “IPS officer Deepika working in Puducherry has been transferred to Jammu and Kashmir. He belongs to the 2018 batch. The NR Congress ministers and MLAs had complained to the Home Minister that Deepika, who is currently the SSP of the city, did not show due respect to the Chief Minister Rangaswamy and the ministers. In this context he has been transferred from Puducherry to Jammu and Kashmir.

Likewise, IPS officer Lokeshwaran (2018 batch) working in Puducherry has also been transferred to Mizoram. IAS officer (2017 batch) Kulothungan working in Mizoram and Brijendra Kumar Yadav (2010 batch) working in Delhi have been transferred to Puducherry,” it said.
