/ On Sunday, the Iranian traffic police in Kermanshah accused an Iraqi tanker driver of negligence and causing a traffic accident that led to three tankers loaded with fuel burning and turning to ashes, noting that the accident caused the closure of a main road in the province.

A report reported by the Iranian Fars Agency and translated by Agency stated that the head of the road police in Kermanshah Province, Colonel Abdul Hussein Zarei, announced that three tanks carrying fuel had caught fire on the Dalahoo axis leading to Islamabad in the west, near the village of Khosrow.

He explained that at 7:50 this morning, the accident was reported and the traffic police immediately arrived at the scene, and through investigations conducted by road police officers, it was found that three tankers were carrying fuel, along with two Iraqi tankers carrying oil, and two Iranian tankers carrying fuel oil. ; They were moving side by side when one of the two Iraqi tankers collided with the two tankers in front of them due to failure to respect the longitudinal distance, which led to a severe fire.

He added that fortunately, this accident did not result in any human casualties, but the fire completely consumed three fuel tanks, noting that the drivers escaped.

In the end, he asked the authorities and those concerned at the border: When foreign drivers enter the country from the borders of the governorate, they are provided with traffic laws and traffic recommendations, especially in special weather conditions, in the form of bilingual booklets, to review them and ensure that such accidents do not occur on the roads in the governorate.

Earlier today, official Iranian media reported that a fire broke out in three Iraqi fuel tankers on the border between the two countries.

The official Iranian Mehr Agency reported that Iraqi fuel tankers caught fire this morning on the Dalho axis leading to Islamabad in the west of the country.

The agency indicated that there were no casualties in this incident.
