The UAE Rugby Federation chose Iraqi referee Taha Hussein as referee for the finals of the UAE Rugby League competition.
Iraqi international referee Taha Mahmoud said in a statement received by the (INA) that he is “very happy to represent Iraq in international forums and raise the name of his country high.”
Mahmoud extended his “thanks to the Iraqi Rugby Federation for its support and assistance in its mission, as well as his thanks to the UAE Rugby Federation for inviting and choosing him to be with the refereeing team to lead the finals of the UAE Rugby League competition, which will be held on the 27th of this month and on the Al Ain Club stadiums.”
It is noteworthy that “Taha Mahmoud recently participated in refereeing the Arab Rugby Championship, which was held in Saudi Arabia, and was chosen among the crew for the final match of the tournament.”
