The 8th Indian Super League (ISL) football tournament starts today (Friday). The tournament, which will be held without fans at 3 venues in Goa like last year following the rules of corona prevention, will continue till March next year.
Reigning champions Mumbai City, three-time champions ADK Mohan Bagan, two-time champions Chennai FC, Bangalore, Goa, Kerala Blasters, East Bengal, North East United (Guwahati) will play alongside Indian players and foreigners. , 11 teams from Odisha, Hyderabad and Jamshedpur clash.
Each team will face the other team 2 times. The teams that finish in the top 4 on the points table at the end of the league round advance to the semifinals.
Former champions ATK will face off in the first league game tonight at 7.30pm on the opening day. Mohan Bagan team faces Kerala Blasters. Chennai will take on Hyderabad in their first league match on the 23rd.
