NEW DELHI: “If my comment about the film The Kashmir Piles has been misunderstood, I sincerely apologize. “It is not my intention to insult the Kashmiri Pandit community or the victims,” Israeli film director Nadav Labit said.
The 53rd screening event of the International Film Festival of India concluded recently in Goa. Nadav Labit, a film director from the Middle Eastern country of Israel, headed the jury of the festival. In this, the film The Kashmir Piles, directed by Vivek Agnihotri, was screened on the 22nd.
Speaking at the closing day of the film festival, director Nadau Labit said, “This film presents propaganda. Speaks the worst ideas. “It doesn’t deserve to be screened at a prestigious venue like the International Film Festival of India,” he said. This caused controversy.
