Israel considers it a shame that the UN Security Council refused to condemn the attack by members of the radical Palestinian movement Hamas in Israel on October 7.

As Day.Az reports with reference to TASS, this statement was made by Israel’s permanent representative to the UN Gilad Erdan at a meeting of the UN Security Council, commenting on the adopted resolution demanding an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip for the month of Ramadan.

“I want to express my deepest condolences to the Russian people and the families of all the victims of the horrific terrorist attack that occurred on Friday. Terror must always be condemned in the harshest possible manner. The Security Council justifiably quickly, very quickly condemned Friday’s terrorist attack in Russia. The terrorist attack in Iran against a police station was also quickly condemned in December. And yet to this day the council refuses to condemn the largest and barbaric massacre of the Jewish people since the Holocaust. At least 137 people were killed on Friday by radical jihadists at the Crocus City Hall concert hall in Russia, and an estimated Six months ago, almost 400 people were killed at the Nova music festival in Israel by radical Hamas jihadists,” Erdan claims.

In his opinion, the UN Security Council “discriminates between the Russians killed at the concert and the Israelis killed at the music festival.” “Civilians, respected colleagues, no matter where they live, deserve to enjoy music in safety and tranquility. And the Security Council must have the moral conscience to condemn such acts of terror equally, without discrimination. Unfortunately, even today the Council refused to condemn the massacre on October 7. This is a shame,” the Israeli permanent representative believes.
