In a letter to all District Collectors and Deputy Commissioners, except Chennai, Department of Food Supply and Consumer Protection, it has already been advised that information boards containing information should be maintained at fair price shops operating under the Public Distribution Scheme for the attention of cardholders. The demand for its implementation is constantly being reminded.
In this situation, based on the complaints received from the cardholders and the information available during the fair price shop audit, it is learned that the information boards are not properly maintained in the fair price shops. Therefore information boards at all fair price shops operating under the Public Distribution Scheme should include the following details and should be displayed for the family cardholders to know.

Commodity inventory details must be completed and displayed daily by the shopkeeper. Working hours, essential commodity inventory details at the fair price store- initial inventory, obtained. Delivery, details including final inventory and quantity of essential goods delivered and sale price should be included on the notice board.

It has been directed to lodge a complaint with the Minister of Food 044 25671427, the Secretary of Food 044 25672224 and the Commissioner of Food Supply 044 28592255 to lodge a complaint regarding the fair price shop.
