It’s finally here, Sony unveils PlayStation Stars rewards program, including digital collections | 4Gamers

by time news

Although late, Sony announced its own loyalty program “PlayStation Stars” earlier, which is free to join. Any player who participates in monthly sign-in, online tournaments, consumption, etc. will receive rewards, and then go to the PlayStation Store to redeem their favorite target products.

According to Sony’s undisclosed cumulative program, it includes monthly check-ins, winning tournaments, earning certain game trophies, and even being the first platinum player in your region.

Following Microsoft’s Microsoft Rewards and My Nintendo point programs, Sony has finally offered its own reward service. The general gameplay is similar to the other two, which are based on the combination of consumption, play and existing membership programs.

It is worth noting that in the “digital collectibles” in PlayStation Stars, players can exchange and collect virtual souvenirs here, including past PlayStation devices, popular characters or equipment, and more. Sounds a bit like the storage space in Astro’s Playroom.

Sony emphasized that the plan will include evoking memories of PlayStation games from the past, and looking forward to future developments to create gaming moments together. All in all, PlayStation Stars is in early beta and is expected to be rolled out to various locations later this year.
