Washington’s nightmare is over. After 10 consecutive losses, the Wizards came back to life this morning (Wednesday) with their first win in three weeks – 110:113 over Phoenix. Danny Avdia contributed 16 points, ten rebounds, four assists and also a block in 36 minutes in one of his best games this season.

At the end of the Washington coach, Wes Anseld Jrcommented on Avdia’s ability: “Seeing him on the floor making moves and closing the game – it’s wonderful. It’s development and growth. It not only increases his confidence, but also that of his teammates.”

Regarding the victory itself, the coach said: “It’s a huge step for us and something we can learn from. We reduced the amount of mistakes that hurt us in the last few games. These players continued to play hard (throughout the streak), it didn’t hurt their competitive spirit and sometimes you create your own luck. I’m happy for them, I know they breathed a sigh of relief and were just as excited (by the end of the streak).”

On Washington’s official website, we praised Abadia: “His numbers may not be the first to stand out when you look at the stat sheet, but he was steady and one of the big reasons why the Wizards were able to break free from their losing streak. He defended solidly all night and had an impact offensively as well.” coach phoenix, Monty Williamsreferred to Abadia when he said: “Washington has players who can defend. Danny is one who chases players and that made me watch more video” (of Washington).
