Actress Janhvi Kapoor has revealed her South Indian affection. He also said that he could relate more to his mother’s culture than his father’s Punjabi culture. Actress Jhanvi is the daughter of late actress Sridevi and filmmaker Boney Kapoor.

In a new interview, Jhanvi has also spoken about her mother’s films, saying that Sridevi did not like acting opposite grown men at the age of 13 and their sons a few years later, even though it was the norm back then.

Jhanvi smiles, “Mother was 13 when father was a heroine, mother was 21 when sons were heroines. And “It was really wrong, but it happened then. However, she has never ruled out acting opposite an older male actor,” said Jhanvi. “If it happens in life, if it is consent, if art is life, if life is art, then why not. There are so many talented actors even in Hindi… Most of the actors I want to work with are not in my age range,” Janhvi said.

Janhvi prefers to express herself as an ‘Iyyappan’ rather than a Kapoor, “I feel a kinship, comfort and security in that environment. The minute I meet someone from South India with that accent, I automatically feel that this person is ‘my favorite person and my best friend’,” said Janhvi.

Janhvi made her acting debut in 2018 with the film Dhadak. It was released a few months after Sridevi’s death. Gunjan Saxena: She has acted in several high-profile films like The Kargil Girl, Roohi and most recently, Good Luck Jerry and the survival thriller Mili. Next year, Jhanvi will star opposite Varun Dhawan in director Nitesh Tiwari’s Baawal.
