Jannik Sinner “marches” on Grigor Dimitrov and Miami – rts.ch

by time news

Jannik Sinner (ATP 3) is indeed the big man in world tennis today. Already winner of the Australian Open and in Rotterdam, the Italian won the Miami Masters 1000 by dominating Grigor Dimitrov (ATP 12) in the final (6-3 6-1).

This is the first time that Sinner (22 years old) has entered his name in the winners of the event, after losing in the final both in 2021 and 2023. The winner of the Australian Open clearly dominated the debates against to Dimitrov to win his second Masters 1000 after that of Toronto last year.

The Italian, who will become world No. 2 on Monday morning, won the first set in 42 minutes, twice taking his opponent’s service. This one, after a good start, made too many unforced errors to be able to resist.

In the second set, Sinner made the break to take the advantage 3-1, after having been led 40/15. He was then on the royal road and completed the game in just 1h12.
